THE END OF THE ROAD (MARVIN'S LAST STRAW)

END OF THE ROAD (MARVIN'S LAST STRAW)

For years, he sat there and took it
Working at a job he hated
He took being looked over and treated like shit
He just stayed there and waited
On a stormy day, he was called in to the office
And they gave him the news he dreaded
He was tossed out the door like he was a novice
He might as well have been beheaded
He walked out the office with a blank stare on his face
What will he tell his wife and kids?
He hopped in his car when and as he left the place
He wondered how he would live
He's stressed to the max as he made the drive
The long commute back to his home
But someone behind him was on his hide
Honking his horn while on the phone
"Move it you asshole, get out of my way!"
Out of his window the man kept screaming
That was it, he couldn't take anymore today
And everything seemed like he was asleep dreaming
He stopped the car and opened the door
But he had a weapon his hand
He pointed the gun, fired and fired some more
Not caring where the bullets would land
The drivers slumped over the steering wheel
Bleeding profusely and almost dead
He was done, he could no longer feel
Except the rage that exploded in his head
People were screaming, there was nothing but panic
As people feed from his wrath
He went from being fired to a crazy manic
And who knows what will come from this aftermath.
