THE TERROR OF PINE BARRENS
Her husband was a irresponsible drunk
Even though he had twelve kids
He was a louse, nothing but a punk
They barely had enough to live
Then once more she's pregnant again
She decides to give it a curse
"Let this one be the devil, I want it to end!"
And then came the night of its birth
The other 12 children in a corner stayed huddled
As the father stood and nervously watched
She went into labor and her yells were muffled
He had to drink a shot of scotch
The she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy
As nice and healthy as could be
But within seconds, they were robbed of their joy
As the baby changed where they could see
It morphed and grew and sprouted wings
His eyes started to glow like fire
Head like a horse, he was a hideous thing
With razor like claws and hair like wire
Then kids started screaming as he looked at them
And it moved to the attack
He turned to his mother and she met her end
He ripped her apart to the back
The children tried to run but it was too late He swooped in for the kill
But for a few of them, death wasn't their fate
Their blood he decided not to spill
Up through the chimney he went, Breaking it apart
As it flew off into the night
The children ran screaming with a pounding heart
And told all how they almost died
A legend was born, a living nightmare
That still lives long today
Pine Barrens at night, most don't dare
In the forest they rarely stay
He still hunts in the woods you can hear his scream
As his eyes still glow that fiery red
When he finds you, you will wish it was a bad dream
As the Jersey Devil tears you apart and you gasp for breath.
