SANDCASTLES IN A MOMENT OF TIME

On this crowded beach he starts to build up moist sand
People walk by and his activities go on unnoticed
He begins to form a fantasy with his hands
To this craft he's entirely devoted
He doesn't feel the heat of the afternoon sun
As he starts to build up beautifully crafted towers
He won't notice the outside world until he's done
Building a castle beyond time with ancient powers
He begins to form banners and a beautiful moat
People begin to take notice and stop and stare
They stand and stare as he's daydreaming with hope
And wishing that he was really there
He daydreamed of being there ruling as a king
Alongside his beautiful wife
The sat and wondered if he really was such a thing
In another world, living a different life
His queen was beautiful and adored by all The people rained flowers upon her glory
Warriors ready to fight if they heard the call
To become a part of the kingdom's story
During his daydream, clouds started to form
But his sandcastle was almost complete
"It's starting to rain!", the people tried to warn
But he was caught up in his daydream
It started to pour and just like that
The sandcastle was reduced to to an unknown heap
He became soaked but was happy with the fact
That he made a sandcastle that looked so sweet
He had a fantasy in a moment of time
Of untold stories of dragons and lore
He created an entire world in his mind
With many places to be explored
He turned around to see his wife, standing there with a smile
It wasn't just a dream, in real life he did find his love
He stood up, embraced her and they stood there for awhile
Kissing as they were getting soaked in the torrential rain falling from above
He didn't care, and neither did she
Two lonely souls met and became one
Bonded together as happy as they could be
Knowing where the other one was coming from
In the pouring rain he held her, she was his love and best friend
People with umbrellas walked by and looked confused
They both never wanted this amazing feeling to end
Far away from the nightmares that they once knew
In this moment of time they have found something worth fighting for
As they take on the troubles of thus world, now united
Their flame of love will be lit forever more
As they made an oath to each other that they will never be divided.
