I was born a warrior, fighting in many lands
But I'm ready to give it up for a lovely maiden's hand
She has eyes that can melt the coldest heart
And a face so beautiful, it rips your wall apart
I was a man of war, fighting with my sword
But I'm willing to give it up all just for her

I'm giving up the sword for you, my love
I'll leave these steel wars far behind

She spoke to me and said my name
Her voice was as sweet as sugar cane
She would make a wallflower dance in his chair
Around her, an aura of magic always filled the air
I knew right then what I had to do
And I gave up the sword, and it was all for you
