YOUR GOD

YOUR GOD

Your God says to love one another
But to kill others who are supposed to be your sisters and brothers
Your God says to rejoice hand in hand
But to hate others that come from another land
Your God claims you have a right to live
But robs the poor and tells them to give
Your God claims to love all people
But interracial relationships are still considered evil
If that's your God, I don't want to know him
Tell me I'm going to hell and my future is dim
We're already in hell as your God silently laughs
As humanity's demise slowly comes to pass
I thought he was his greatest creation, where is he?
While empires fall and were enslaved by the powers that be?
Where is your God that said he'd bring an end to this?
Does he even care about us? Does he even exist?
At this point, your God is useless to me
The endless violence and war he does nor see
Don't tell me about your God, he's nothing but cruel
As this world is dying under human rule
Your God isn't love, he's full of hate
As he does nothing to stop humanity's deadly fate
He chooses to save one as another dies
When others are abused, he doesn't hear their cries
But he answers prayers to the affluent only
While the rest of us are on our own, broken and lonely
Your God isn't really a God at all
Your God is a monster who wants to see our downfall.
