THE ONLY ONE

THE ONLY ONE

Am I the only one who wants to people get along?
For everyone to be living in unity?
To have the entire world singing the same song?
And all will be viewed by more of what their ethnicity may be?
Everyone else wants hate and war
To see the shameless destruction of others
Most want to see death and nothing more
And to see the last flame of humanity choked and smothered
I only want peace and to learn more about other people
To travel and share my experiences around the globe
Most view entire countries as pure evil
And want to drop bombs on them and kill them all, young and old
I may the the only one left in this world who even cares
Everyone's shallow, thinking money will be their fortress
I speak my mind while most people don't even dare
While the tension of hate seems to cause only more distress
I refuse to follow the trail of hate but I may be the only one
The only one who wants true peace in this cold wasteland
I just want to see humanity sing together and dance under the sun
While most want to see war, separation and death by bloody political hands.
