THE QUEEN'S SHADOW

She has a Kingdom that's all her own
But a shadow follows her and won't leave her alone
She can't escape it no matter where she goes
The shadow is cruel, l relentless and cold
She sits on her throne in constant worry
Tears coming from her eyes which makes her vision blurry
She only wishes the shadow would leave
So she can happily rule and finally be free
But the shadow stands by her with no compassion
As she goes through pain impossible to imagine
The shadow has weighed down heavy on her heart
Breaking her down and tearing her apart
But she must keep it together for all of her people
She must care for all, even those who are evil
But who will care for her when she feels down?
Everyone's in fears the intimidation of the crown
When she falls, who will be there for her?
Who will be there when the shadow's wrath occurs
She silently struggles in her endless pain
As she stays strong she suffers from something hard to explain
All she ever wanted was to be at peace
But the wrath of her shadow never seems to cease
In her throne room she sits, crying endless tears
Trying not to think about her biggest fears
As her shadow lurks over her, laughing at her sorrow
But she must remain strong for her subjects on the morrow
She begs for whatever is in the sky for a peace of mind
As she hopes for freedom and happiness in her lifetime.
