THE SUNFLOWER QUEEN AND THE FALLEN KNIGHT (THE WILDS)

THE SUNFLOWER QUEEN AND THE FALLEN KNIGHT (THE WILDS)

The Fallen Knight kept riding under the blazing suns
As he still looked back at where he came from
The memory of him being banished fresh in his mind
Will he be known only as an oathbreaker for all time?
He wandered into the forest, the beginning of the wilds
A dangerous place that expanded for hundreds of miles
It was cooler here but the air was dense
His eyes darted around, he felt so tense
He saw weird eyes glaring through the trees
He heard weird sounds but nothing he could see
There was no way he would make it through here by nightfall
Far away, he heard a raven caw
He opened his hands, which still held the sunflower crest
The same one he used to wear proudly on his chest
But he’s an oathbreaker, he deserved this fate
He had the perfect life and let it go to waste
And even in the wilds, he still thought of the Queen
Her stunning beauty made her seem like a dream
But he saw the blazing anger in her eyes
When he broke his oath, he wanted to die
He looked to his left where he saw shadows move
He thought of the Queen so his nerves he could soothe
Then something shot out and knocked him off his horse
He landed on the ground, and hit with such force
He saw a dark hood and everything turned black
When he woke up again, he was lying on his back
He looked around and by trees he was surrounded
He saw a small fire and three men were around it
“Well look what we have here, a Crenwell Knight!
We should take what he has and then take his life!”
The knight spoke up as he tried to lift his head
“I’m an oath breaker, I’m better off dead!
So go ahead and kill me, my life isn’t worthwhile
I disgraced my Queen, I’ll never be able to smile
So just go ahead and run me through
As long as I don’t have to hear anymore from you!”
But then a cruel smile came on one man’s face
He had a plan to take the Queen’s place
To throw her in prison and take her crown
And eventually make all in Crenwell bow down
“We won’t kill you, you worth more alive
With you, we’ll be able to sneak in Crenwell and hide
And then our full plan will be able to take effect
We’ll take the throne first and then we’ll give you your death!”
This was a plan the Knight had to stop
But he was tied down, his heart began to drop
He had to find a way to save the Queen’s throne
Even if he was banished, it was still his home
He must die fighting, even if he broke the oath
He must protect the Queen, even if there’s no hope
He lied there, tied up to think of a way
To save the Sunflower Queen so her rulership will stay.
