CHILDREN OF THE STARS
Stars exploded so that we can live
Life that we all take for granted
We always take instead of give
But life is like a dream enchanted
Billions of light years beyond comprehension
Life like ours is probably out there
Just like us in the galaxies we love to mention
They live like us and die like us
Feel pain and suffering and sometimes cry
Just as fragile as us when it comes to trust
And maybe they too gaze at the sky
And look at our galaxy and wonder what's there
What could be beyond the world that they know
As they shiver in their cold climate air
Watching the universe's nightly light show
Realizing that they're children of the stars too......
