FINISHING LAST

I won't disrespect you like others at work
I won't hit on you and use pick up lines like a jerk
I treat you like a human being and don't act like an ass
But of course as always I'm finishing last

I'm not whistling at you as you walk the street
I don't stare at you like you're a piece of meat
I treat you like a gentleman from many years past
But as usual, I'm finishing last

I don't yell: "Hey baby, what's your name?"
Or become aggressive, that would just be lame
I do the right thing and always get looked past
That's the story of my life, I'm always finishing last.
