HEIGELFRY
A homeless man who wasn't himself anymore
His mind was lost in the Vietnam War
He left with his sanity and came home without it
And sadly, nobody even gave a shit
His country abandoned him in his time of need
He sacrificed his life so people could be free
And now they just threw him away like he was trash
A lonely man who has now forgotten his past
He spends his days on a bench, listening to Anthrax
And tells all who listen that they really kick ass
The 4th of July is a nightmare of loud sounds
It brings him back to the explosions heard all around
Friends being blown apart and watching them die
He can do nothing else but to sit there and cry
People pass him by but he's always ignored
A hero lost, Heigelfry's was lost in a war.
