QUEEN OF MY HEART

Where are you, the Queen of my heart?
In this lonely Kingdom I have waited all my life
Went around the world and and many miles apart
And sailed through dangerous seas all day and night
But I can never find you, will you ever find me?
I need someone to share my Kingdom with
And riches mean nothing if I'm forever lonely
The crown weighs heavy, with no one it's just a myth
I see those who are richer because they have found love
But to many it doesn't seem like they have much
But with this rule, it means nothing at all because
I long for the soft caress of a woman's touch
I must be strong for the Kingdom but I feel so weak
Without someone to wake up with the start of the day
Someone to warm me when the cold winds come from the east
Someone to take care of all when I go away
I long to find the woman who I see in my dreams
The one who I will cherish like the rise of the moon
My lover and friend, the one who will become queen
But she's nowhere to be found as I sit in this empty room
Surrounded by my guards right outside the door
I walk out and show everyone smiles and hide my tears
Wishing this lonely feeling would be no more
But it might be with me forever and  that's what I fear
I have taken down armies with the might of my sword
And in the winds the tiger banner waved and whirls
And my loyal people will fight for me if I just say the word
But it all means nothing without a queen in my world.

BELIEVING IN DREAMS

He's that brave warrior with a sword in his hands
Fighting for freedom in far away lands
Where magic and steel and forgotten tales lie
And the ancient legends of old never die
Forests with mighty trees and valiant people
Majestic castles and kingdoms together battle evil
Dragons ride the sky and breathe molten fire
A world that seems to fulfill his every desire
By his side is the woman that stole his heart
The Queen of Magic, he knows they'll never be apart
As they travel and fight together in the morning light
And warm each other beside fires in the cold dark nights
They continue on a journey that never seems to end
They meet new and odd friends along the way
Through soaring peaks and valleys filled with decay
But in a blink of an eye, the whole dream was gone
He's sitting at work as the lights hum on
It was just a dream, that's all and nothing more
There was no world of magic and forgotten lore
But then the Queen of Magic walks by with a sly smile on her face
A spark from her fingers sets a glow in the place
Then she new him a kiss that he could really feel
Did he really travel to this world of magic and steel?

HARD TO LOVE

I'm far from problem free
I have plenty of issues
It's hard to love me
I leave people confused
I want you to stay close
I want you to stay away
I want you the most
I don't know what to say
I don't want to go outside
Too many people out there
I want to stay inside
Instead of getting fresh air
You can't see me like this
I must cover my face
Yes, there's something amiss
I don't fit in anyplace
I try to explain
You won't understand
This constant mental pain
Only seems to expand
I can't feel good about myself
No matter what's said
I know I have poor health
With the problems in my head
With all this going on
I'm hard to love, I know
I understand if you'll be gone
Because everyone else goes
Once they see
I am a broken man
Once they see
The defeated soul that I am.

You always get what you want
But you didn't get it from me
Now you want to be rude and taunt
Because I saw beyond what you thought I could see
You tried to turn on the charm, became the flirt
I'm not the average guy, I didn't fall for the trap
So then you started to use words that hurt
Because I didn't kneel down and kiss your ass
Sorry, I'm just doing my job
You don't like it, too bad
Go head, call me a fat slob
Act like a child and get mad
You're still not getting your way, no matter what you do
You act like no one has ever told you no in life
All I have to say is that it sucks to be you
The real person came out after pretending to be nice
You thought you could persuade me because of your looks
Nope, not me, I'm not that kind of guy
Go ahead and try every trick in the book
I'll just tell you no again and say goodbye.

HER VOICE

Her voice soothes the misery inside
Her voice is something heavenly and divine
Her voice heals me, erases the doubt
Her voice I can always listen to, no matter the amount
Her voice carries wisdom from the words she speaks
Her voice alone is enough to make my knees weak
Her voice urges me on when I want to give up
Her voice tells me I can handle more when I think I've had enough
Her voice is the reason I will defend her honor with my sword
Her voice is why I'll listen and respect her every word.

No turkey is needed or some kind of big meal
To show you how much you mean to me
I don't need that at all, it's no be deal
You're beautiful soul is all I want to see
Down with the holidays
I don't care for them
With you is my way
Because you're my best friend
You saw me for who I was and never left
I don't know why but you continue to stay
I'm thankful, you have my heart until I have no more breath
I'm so thankful for you I don't know what to say
Waking up with you is the greatest gift of all
I don't need anything else if I'm with you
Who needs shopping in overpacked malls
You refresh me like grass that has morning dew
Your laugh, your smile makes everything better
In this world of pain
Just call and I'll come running whenever
Through the snow and pouring rain
Because of you, I know love still exists
Thank you for loving a poor soul like me
In this world of disappointment and bad items on the list
Being with you truly sets my soul free.
