THE TEARS OF LADY ELKA

THE TEARS OF LADY ELKA

Alone she sits in a dark room
Happiness for her is not coming soon
She can't believed what happened in a day
If it wasn't for the wars things would've this way
How we tell her little ones that their father is no more
Cut down in a rain of arrows from this bloody war
She cries for them and she cries for herself
Pain and sorrow is her reality, there is nothing else
They fight for freedom, but her freedom is gone
She's a slave to heartache from now on
Her little ones are the only reasons to cling to life
She's still in shock as she looks out into the night
Looking for someone who will never come home
She shivers from the cold as she feels so alone
The tears keep coming, they seem to have no end
She thinks of her love, the one she called her best friend
She watched him ride off with his sword by his side
She never knew that in that day he was going to die
As the tears keep flowing, she wishes none of it was real
Cries of loss are heard in the night during this age of steel
Lady Elka must remain strong in this time of grief
She wishes the war would end and the world be at peace.
Until then, she cres for the one that she lost
The war is being won, but at what cost?
