THE DREAM WRAITH OF THE GORRIDON FOREST

THE DREAM WRAITH OF THE GORRIDON FOREST

Deep in the forest, he was tired and needed to rest
He stopped and sat down up against a tree
He looked up and saw the beautiful bird's nest.
But that would be the last thing he would see
Slowly he closed his eyes and went fast to sleep
And that was when he began to dream
He woke up with a crown on his head high in the keep
With a queen by his side, what did all of this mean?
"Where is this place, I was just in the woods!"
"Be still my love, are you all right?"
"My love?  Who are you and where's my hood?"
"My love, you must have bumped your head last night."
He looked around and he was so confused
Could this be?  Was he truly a king?
He jumped up out of the bed not knowing what to do
He looked down at his hand and saw the ring
He was a king of all Gorridon with this beautiful Queen
"I must be dreaming, this can't be real!"
He looked into her eyes which were a beautiful green
"Kiss me my love, my lips you will feel."
He gave her a kiss as she embraced him tight
He felt her soft lips and he felt so weak
Little did he know that he was slowly losing his life
A dream wraith surrounds him as he's sound asleep
It slowly takes his life away without him knowing
Feasting on the essences of his soul
The dream wraith slowly begins to start glowing
As it finishes and now he is just an empty hole
Stull stuck in his Dreamland and never to return
Back to the world that was his true reality
He'll lay here for years before his body starts to turn
But until then in his dreams he'll still see
He'll be that king as he gives out orders With his beautiful Queen by him, standing strong
His Warriors of the Valley will protect the borders
As the bards dedicate their voices to him in song
He's trapped in his dream and will never get out
As his body lies still, slowly wasting away
Even in his dream he still has doubt
If it's real but he still thinks it's okay
The dream wraith goes away to find another target
Another wanderer who is traveling alone
He might become another victim in this forest
And another one who will never make it home.
