THE GRAVEYARD OF DRAGONS

THE GRAVEYARD OF DRAGONS

There they are, the mighty dragons of the past
The reptiles that once blazed through the sky
It was a sad day when men killed them at last
The realm itself she'd a tear from its eye
Gone are the dragons, the black and the green
The red, white, and gold dragons of ice
They were real once but most think they were dreams
But right here is where their bones still lie
They never saw Pythos when he took flight
A dragon so powerful they called him death on wings
His eyes burned like coal, his scales dark as night
Or Lugion the gold dragon who breathed pure frost
The ancient king of Illsidrin rode bravely on his back
The battles they fought together are all but lost
How together they saved Illsidrin when it was under attack
Ploaria the Red dragon tamed by Queen Crillia herself
In that time there was no one more mightier than them
Her flames carved Montolothia and the blackened shelf
The age of dragons came to an end because of the greed of men
They hunted and killed them all just for treasures and gold
All we have left now is this cave of bones
The legacy of the powerful creatures all lie here
The flames still live and the stories have a home
Even though their memory fades with the turning of each year.
