THE BEAUTY INSIDE A MONSTER

The BEAUTY INSIDE A MONSTER

Inside he had a beautiful soul
Outside he's what people call ugly
Tormented daily by a world so cold
A monster looking through bars that are rusty
If they could only look past his hideous face
They would see much more of what's inside
If he didn't lose in the genetics race
They would see a fighting spirit that refuses to die
A freak of nature who relies on his strength
The only way he can withstand the laughter
When people see him they can only stare
Thoughts of him being happy he would never dare
He's not a monster, he's more of a gentle giant
If the rest of the world could see him this way
He wouldn't hide behind a hood, always staying silent
The jokes always come so he locks himself away
Be he has sworn an oath and he knows his duty
To always be there to always help others
Inside this monster lies endless beauty
But his looks keeps it repressed and smothered
One day, maybe people will see him as a whole
If they can look past this hideous curse
One day they might see that beautiful soul
Behind the monster they have ridiculed ever since his birth
