THE LAST SUNFLOWER OF CRENWELL

THE LAST SUNFLOWER OF CRENWELL

The once fresh land is now dried up
The ground scarred and scorched
Life is gone, what remains are the huts
Decaying and barren, for decades untouched
Life and laughter once lived here
When the land was full of water and food
But the last sunflower grows without fear
Long after people left for good
In a garden of dust it defies all odds
Growing and thriving, the last of its kind
The days are long and the sun is hot
But the sunflower still grows after being left in time
Forgotten by the world, it stands all alone
No one comes to give it water
Lost in a place many once called home
It is Crenwell's last daughter
One day someone walks by, amazed at such a sight
How could something here still be growing?
The sunflower stands at a majestic height
Still living without anyone knowing
Today only a few know of the Sunflower of Crenwell
But they know that it's precious and rare
And they come to where this mystery still dwells
As it still grows in the silent desert air
