HOSPITAL POEM

HOSPITAL POEM

Beep, beep, beep,
It's so hard to sleep
IV on my vein
At least I'm not in pain
Weird dinner in a bowl
At least it wasn't cold
Other patients chatter
Telling nurses what's the matter
Doctors rushing to and fro
What's wrong with me?  They don't know
Lying in observation
Lost in concentration
In comes a visiting friend
One that's loyal until the end
After a talk, now he's gone
But here I still lie as time marches on
Beep, beep, beep
It's so hard to sleep.
