THE WIZARD'S CURIOUS CAT

THE WIZARD'S CURIOUS CAT

His master warned him about not eating the fish
But all day long that was his only wish
He stared longingly at the fish in the bowl
He even had dreams of eating it whole
Whenever he got close, the wizard shooed him away
But the wizard set off on a long quest today
"Be good, my pet and that fish don't touch"
"Behave while I'm gone and you will get much!'
Away went the wizard, out of the door
The cat looked outside until he couldn't see him no more
Then he turned his attention to his delicious meal
The fish in the bowl was going to be a good steal
He jumped up to the table where the fishbowl was
Licking his lips, he did exactly what a cat does
In goes his paw, deep into the water
The fish frantically swam trying to avoid the slaughter
The cat thought he knew his master so well
Little did he know that the wizard casted a spell
In a blink of time, the cat became a fish himself
In another fishbowl, in another room, on another shelf
And now he's living his worst nightmare
But it was his curiosity and disobedience that put him there
If only he listened to his master, He wouldn't be in this place
And somewhere, miles away, the wizard has a smile on his face
He knew that his cat wouldn't listen to him
He knew that he might as well have been speaking to the wind
He smiles and laughs, knowing what he'll come home to
But until then, the curious cat has plenty of thinking to do.
