THE WOMAN WITH THE GOLDEN SWORD

THE WOMAN WITH THE GOLDEN SWORD

In the forest, she silently waits
For the ones not worthy, she will bate
One day, someone worthy will come
But until then, with the golden sword she is one
Time has no meaning because she is ageless
She has been in the forest as history wrote many pages
She's seen kingdoms become mighty and fall
From man to beast, she has seen one and all
Many came to her and tried to grab the sword from her hands
Many have died not being worthy but she still stands
Through the heat of summer and the cold of winter
She stands with the sword and her glory never grows dimmer
She waits for the one who is worthy to wield the sword
One that's truthful in their heart and in their words
One day that person will come and the sword she will give
So the good that's left in her world will continue to live
She never grows weary, she has a soul of fire
She has the strength that many all around admire
Armies have tried to wrestle the sword away But they ended up dying and no longer exist today
Many underestimate her strength but in the end they know
She's stronger then all of them when she begins to glow
Sorrow lies in her past and she has shed many tears
But she stays loyal to her duty year after year
Silently watching and waiting as the sun shines and the winds blow
When that person will come, no one really knows
But she stands there loyally as the seasons turn over and over again
Until she finds one worthy and her duty will end.
