CRIES FROM BEYOND THE ICE (FROZEN SILENCE)

CRIES FROM BEYOND THE ICE (FROZEN SILENCE)

The icy winds blow snow in his face
But he can still hear her pleas for help
He can sense her trapped someplace
Deep inside some icy shelf
Despite being heavily dressed, he still feels numb
From the stinging cold that cuts like a knife
This is the place that gets no warmth from the storm
And where many who traveled through have lost their lives
The snow covered over their belongings and bones
And now they're just unrecognizable heaps
Those poor souls will never again see home
Frossen ødemark has kept many for keeps
Many who were traveling on their own
There is no life, no birds ride the sky here
Snow and silence is what dominates the land
He slowly crosses the barren ice, trying to be of good cheer
His life might be leaving him now, he fears
Because he can't feel his hands
He feels so tired, and wants to rest and sleep
His eyelids are getting heavy, he falls off his horse
In the drifting snow, he thinks he may have paid a price too steep
He can feel the presence of an evil force
As he struggles to stay awake
He tries to move but something's stopping him
The freezing creeps in, death might be his fate
His eyes close, and the cries he heard become dim
He can't concentrate, everything is in a haze
No more feeling at all, he's slowly dying
Fighting against it all, this might be his last day
As the trapped soul is still sad and crying....
