CRIES FROM BEYOND THE ICE (IRON WILL)

CRIES FROM BEYOND THE ICE (IRON WILL)

He can feel himself slipping away
The darkness is closing in fast
The white snow is beginning to sway
In this state, he won't last
He still hear her cries
They're far away now
But before he dies
He has to reach her somehow
"I must resist!"
"I can't die without her!"
"I must fight this!"
"I'm doing it all for her!"
He reaches down deep
To the iron will that lies inside
He fights going to sleep
And forces open his eyes
His body is still numb from the cold
As he struggles out of the snowdrift
For her, he must be bold
And his body he begins to lift
He gets to his knees, then his feet
He sees his horse standing nearby
He can still hear her silently weep
He now now where she really lies
The wind is blowing strong
The snow whips around him
He focuses on the an old song
That warms him from within
Up he rises back onto his horse
The cold won't be taking him today
He's driven to beat the evil force
And make sure that she is okay
He continues through the icy wasteland
With thoughts of her in his mind
Feeling begins to come back into his hands
Who is this woman beyond mortal time?
Why is she crying to him, what does she want?
Why did he ride off to save her life?
Why do her cries for help continue to haunt
His thoughts as he strides past towers of ice?
He stops between the ice towers rising to the sky
So high it disappears in the clouds
The ones of old made them but no one knows why
But still there's nothing moving, no heard sounds
This is where he must go, what's inside is a mystery
No one who went in never came out again
What's inside is still nothing but unwritten history
From here, he could meet his very end
But he must go in, she's very close now
He can her her soothing voice
He has to reach her, someway, somehow
And from where he is, he has no choice.
