IS THIS IT?

IS THIS IT?

Is this it?  Could she be the one?
Will she bring me though the darkness and see the sun?
Will she see past my looks and see me for who I am?
Will she be able to accept a broken man?
I proceed with caution, I won't get hurt this time
I won't be fooled as someone plays with my mind
To protect myself from falling and getting rejected
I must not be so open and keep my heart protected
I've been down this road many times before
But they've only wanted to be friends and nothing more
I must be cautious and keep my wits
But I still wonder in the back of my head, is this it?
